UK Courses - North Wales Multi Pitch Lead Climbing
Purpose of Course: Each student will learn the skills required to competently 'lead' climb and 'second' a variety of multi-pitch climbs within the Snowdonia National Park. The course will focus on all aspects of lead climbing including working as part of a trustworthy team and will allow the student to gain experience and knowledge in the following skills:
Gear placement, extension and removal
Multiple anchors (angles, positioning)
Guidebook interpretation
Belaying techniques, positioning and leader falls
Crag etiquette, access and environmental issues
Rope management including locking off and rope reversal
Decent (choice of location and techniques - abseiling)

North Wales Multi Pitch Lead Climbing 2 or 3 Day Course based in Snowdonia
Experience requirements - Over 18 years of age
Consolidated knowledge of all aspects of indoor climbing including leading
Consolidated knowledge of all aspects of seconding traditional climbs outdoors
Cost - £195 for 2 days / £285.00 for 3 days
Accommodation - Many options available including camping, bunkhouse or B&B (not included in course price, please arrange with instructor assigned to the course)
