Our consultant is Paolo Fubini, Managing Director of ArrampicA Limited, a qualified AMI member (www.ami.org.uk), BAIML member (www.baiml.org) and with a vast range of experiences covering commercial, charity, community, institutional, special needs and educational type facilities.

His early years’ background covers managerial roles in; the paper merchant market, estate agency, climbing and mountaineering holidays and courses.

Paolo has worked for Surrey County Council, Outdoor Education Centres, The Youth Offending Service, Her Majesties Prison Service, Vertex Climbing Centre, Charterhouse Climbing Centre, Westway Climbing Centre, Craggy Island Climbing Centre, Thomas School, Oxted School, Ursuline High School, Bearwood College, Chessington Community College, East Surrey Schools Sports Partnership, Rock and Sun, Undercover Rock and Go Ape in various positions as freelance, part time, full time and technical advisor type roles.

He has represented centres at the ABC (www.abcclimbingwalls.co.uk) and has contributed to working groups for production of artificial climbing centres rescue practices, development of the NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme) and other key issues.  Paolo has been working at centres in development of climbing squads, education packages, risk assessments, best practice and all aspects of training and assessments, working on all types of rock and mountaineering courses both indoor and outdoor.

Paolo has another aspect to his experiences; he has advised on builds, put in place all aspects of running facilities to include strong financial reporting and accounting.

Holder of the IPAF Powered Access qualification and IRATA level 1.
