Our boss has been climbing for over 19 years and has been an instructor for more than 17 years. A full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors and the British Association of International Mountain Leaders, Paolo holds the Mountain Instructor's Award and the International Mountain Leader Award, plus IRATA rope access qualification and Lyon; equipment checking certification.
Paolo has been climbing and instructing in the UK, European Alps, Turkey, New Zealand and the Himalaya. His experience and great fun character, combined with a total love of instructing people and imparting knowledge provide fantastic days out. He lives in Cumbria with his Wife and Son and spends half of his working time near home and the rest travelling to customers in the London and South East area and the Italian Dolomites Mountains.
Experienced with the setting up of climbing centres on a local and large national scale, setting up of high and low ropes and via ferrata systems, his broad experience is amongst the highest within the UK and he is a contracted technical advisor and consultant to over 30 UK facilities.
The best place to find Paolo after a days climbing is in a café attempting to find the world's best cappuccino and chatting before disappearing to climb during the night, a peculiar passion that all his students seem to rave about.
