Ropes Course Instructor Training

Arrampica Ropes Course Instructor Training

Site-Specific Ropes Course Instructor Training (Arrampica Syllabus)

Arrampica have designed a number of site-specific ropes course instructor training courses aimed at staff and instructors working with high ropes, adventure parks and zip wires.

As the title suggests, this is training which is tailored for specific facilities and the learning is focused on the equipment, structures and activities which the staff and participants engage with. Training will also take into account any criteria and best practice currently employed at each site.

Arrampica instructor qualifications will train your staff according to current best practice and relevant legislation, and are recognised by insurance companies. The syllabus for each are fully compliant with EN15567 Part 2. Although these courses are not affiliated to any NGB, this in no way means the training is in any way inferior.

Arrampica deliver training courses across the UK (and, periodically, in Europe and worldwide) so location is never an obstacle.

If you would like to find out more and discuss the specifics of any of these courses, please contact us at info@arrampica.com or call us on 0800 246 1170

The ARRAMPICA Site-Specific (Traditional Ropes Course) qualification is aimed at facilities who want staff to be qualified but only need them to be trained to work on one particular ropes course and do not require a National Governing Body qualification.

The course will only cover the parts of the syllabus that we decide are relevant to fulfil the required criteria for your particular site, taking into account the variety of ropes course or ropes course elements included in the training.

The ARRAMPICA Site-Specific (Adventure Park Self Belay System) qualification is aimed at facilities who want staff to be qualified but only need them to be trained to work on one particular Adventure Park with a Self Belay System and do not require a National Governing Body qualification.

These are any ropes courses where the participant remains attached to the safety system throughout the experience; i.e. they do not need anyone else to belay them, but they do need to have been taught to operate equipment in order to safety proceed across the elements on the adventure park.

The ARRAMPICA Site-Specific (Adventure Park Continuous Belay System) qualification is aimed at facilities who want staff to be qualified but only need them to be trained to work on one particular Adventure Park with a Continuous Belay System and do not require a National Governing Body qualification.

These are any ropes courses where the participant remains attached to the safety system throughout the experience; i.e. they do not need anyone else to belay them, nor do they need to operate any equipment other than perhaps guiding a connector over a bracket.

Zip wires are designed primarily for recreation. This course trains and assesses candidates to routine check, access, set-up, check, run, de-rig and equipment inspect a specific zip wire site.

The ARRAMPICA Site-Specific (Zip Wire) qualification is aimed at facilities who want staff to be qualified but only need them to be trained to work on one particular Zip Wire and do not require a National Governing Body qualification.

This qualification is aimed at instructors who are already qualified either as an ARRAMPICA Site Specific Instructor (Adventure Park, Traditional Ropes or zip wire).

Every site needs designated rescuers who are trained to rescue a customer or member of staff who is stuck at height. This course will only qualify instructors to perform rescues at one specific site and will focus on systems at that particular site.
